Meet Mike Mamo — the man behind the Telila Washing Station and the origin of two standouts we’re brewing at Foster & Black. Though a newcomer, Mike and his crew are turning heads in the specialty coffee scene.
What sets Telila apart? They’re not just processing coffees, they elevate it — separating lots by the specific kebele (village) each cherry comes from. This next-level attention to detail shines through in a clean, crisp cup.
Want in on what Mike’s up to? Keep an eye out for coffees we’ve got from:
Gure Kesso with notes of Pineapple, Stone Fruit and Black Tea
And
Kecho Anderacha tasting of Grapefruit, Apricot and Chocolate
Shoutout to our friends at for bringing this one into our mix.

Brewing some top notch Burundi lots from our friends at . Take a look.
For the past sixty years, Burundi coffees have often been lost in a sea of instant, grocery store blends. Now, with elevated care, Burundi is stepping into the specialty coffee spotlight. Producing here is no walk in the park—harvest season can bring fuel and water shortages, political instability, and export delays. Yet, despite these hurdles, these Burundi coffees are well worth the effort.

Through our journey in a specialty industry, we’ve learned that showcasing the name behind a product shines light on the true heroes and connects drinkers more closely to them.
For eight generations, Marukyu Koyamaen’s family in the Uji region have devoted themselves in the pursuit of “making teas with quality as the highest priority.”
Cheers to drinking good matcha. koyamaen_official
